Avatar the Last Airbender NBA Player Comparisons

In honor of Avatar the Last Airbender returning to Netflix, here is a brief NBA player comparison for the ATLA gang.

Much like Aang, Lebron also faced tremendous pressure from a young age. They both had to learn to adapt and trust others in order to achieve their goals. (whether it was saving the world or winning the NBA Finals)

Just like Katara, Steph is a once and a generation talent. They are both creative and willing to help others, and most importantly they are always ready to make it splash.

Both Toph and Kobe never backed down from a challenge. They were tough on their friends/teammates because they wanted to get the best out of them. Toph defended her title at Earth Rumble 6, just like Kobe defended the NBA title 3 separate times. (yes I know he has 5 rings, but 3 title defenses).

Sokka’s player comparison is Shaun Livingston, specifically when he was on the Warriors. Just like Sokka used his mind to think up a variety of plans throughout the ATLA series, Livingston’s high basketball IQ allowed him to contribute on a championship team. Both were stars in their role, however they won’t win many battles/games single-handedly.
